Home care in Canberra and the ACT
160 providers are registered to deliver government funded home care across Canberra, and 132 of them publish their prices. Weekday personal care rates in published Support at Home schedules currently range from $52 to $225 an hour. 93 are not-for-profit organisations and 95 hold Commonwealth Home Support Programme funding. Every price on Glidance comes from the provider's own published schedule, with a source link, never an estimate.
Support at Home
The main government program for ongoing help at home, which replaced Home Care Packages in November 2025. You get a quarterly budget based on an assessment, and pay a means tested co-contribution for some services: nothing for clinical care, 5% to 50% for independence supports and 17.5% to 80% for everyday living.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme
The entry level program for lower needs: individual services like cleaning, meals or transport, with a small contribution per service. Access to both programs starts with an assessment through My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.
